We're looking for a Head of Digital and Technology to lead and shape Truescape's technology capability as the business continues to grow. This is a broad, senior role focused on strengthening how technology supports delivery today, while building a more scalable and integrated capability for the future. AI is already part of how we work. We're using it in practical ways across the business, and this role will continue to build on that, embedding it where it adds real value and exploring new opportunities over time.
You'll work closely with the Senior Leadership Team as a trusted advisor and connector between technology and the business, ensuring decisions are practical, commercially sound, and aligned to long-term value.
About the RoleYou'll balance strategic leadership with a handsâon, practical approach in a projectâbased environment.
- Permanent fullâtime â 40 hours per week
- Christchurch-based (office-based)
You will:
- Align development, digital, and infrastructure capability to support client delivery and internal innovation.
- Ensure systems are stable, secure, scalable, and fit for purpose.
- Maintain appropriate governance, security, and compliance standards across systems and data, including alignment with frameworks such as CMMC.
- Define and deliver a clear, prioritised technology roadmap aligned to business goals.
- Identify and implement AIâdriven improvements that save time, reduce effort, and improve quality.
- Improve data quality, reporting, and access to meaningful business insights.
- Lead initiatives from concept through to adoption, improving workflows, tools, and ways of working.
- Work closely with senior leaders to identify where technology can create value and solve business challenges.
- Manage budget, vendors, and technology investments with a strong focus on ROI.
- Lead and develop teams across digital, development, and infrastructure.
You're a pragmatic, commercially minded technology leader who is comfortable operating across strategy and delivery. You'll bring:
- Experience leading technology or digital functions in a complex environment.
- Strong understanding of how technology supports business performance and delivery.
- Experience working with development teams and digital capability.
- A track record of using tools (including AI) to improve workflows, efficiency, or outcomes.
- Ability to translate technical concepts into clear business outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder leadership and the ability to influence at senior levels.
- A practical, solutionsâfocused approach in fastâmoving environments.
- The ability to prioritise and focus on highâimpact work.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust across stakeholders.
