Overview
Senior System Administrator role with a global fintech organisation based in Newcastle. Hybrid working with 3 days per week in the office.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will report to the Lead System Administrator and collaborate with the internal IT team on a range of project-based, proactive, and reactive ticket-based work across 2nd and 3rd line. This role involves shaping day-to-day IT operations for the organisation.
Key skills and experience
- Extensive experience in Azure, Windows Server and M365
- Some knowledge of AWS services
- SQL Server backup, recovery and DR
- Endpoint management for Apple and Windows devices
- Troubleshooting and problem solving skills
Beneficial but not essential
- Terraform or other IaC tooling
- Automation using PowerShell / Bash
- Microsoft or AWS certifications
Location and working arrangement
Based in Newcastle City Centre, with parking onsite and good public transport links. Hybrid role with 3 days in the office.
Salary and visa
Starting salary up to around £50k (dependant on experience and interview), plus benefits. Some flexibility may apply. Please note, visa sponsorship or relocation support is not available; applicants must be based in the UK with the right to work there.
