TrueNorth are working with a UK based consultancy that is expanding its business development function with a newly created Senior Business Development Manager role.

Responsibilities

  • You will report to the Head of Sales and be responsible for identifying, creating and securing new business opportunities for the company, with the support of a team of business development executives.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to be a trusted right hand, is self-starting and has ambition and ideas.

Qualifications

  • Over 5 years experience of software development service / consultancy sales experience (we specifically need this experience, we aren’t able to consider tech platform or vendor sales experience at the moment).
  • Extensive experience of full lifecycle sales from research to prospecting, proposals, bids, pitches, representing the business at events etc.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and engagement, with ability to be credible up to C-level in a range of industries and sectors.
  • Comfortable working with the wider team and organisation for the collective success of everyone.
  • Innovation in sales and selling services.

Location & Travel

The role can be based anywhere in the North of England, with office travel approximately 1x per week in Leeds and approximately 2x per month in Newcastle. Travel to the further location is paid for by the organisation.

Salary & Benefits

Starting salary is up to £70k base plus commission (1% of all sales, uncapped) and benefits (dependant on experience).
