Senior Business Development Manager – Technology Services

Leeds (hybrid, 1 day per week in office, travel covered)

Our client is a long-established technology consultancy, trusted by leading enterprise brands to deliver complex projects and innovative solutions. Through their embedded experts model, they provide specialist consultants who integrate directly into client teams, helping to drive outcomes on business-critical programmes.

As they invest in a brand-new sales function, we’re supporting them in hiring a Senior Business Development Manager to spearhead new client acquisition and play a pivotal role in their growth journey.

What you’ll be doing

  • Drive new business by identifying and closing opportunities with CIOs, CTOs, and other senior technology leaders.
  • Sell consulting / professional services and staff augmentation solutions (placing embedded experts into client projects).
  • Deliver against a £1m new business target in year one, focused on six-figure deal values.
  • Work closely with the Head of Sales, marketing, and technical leaders to shape go-to-market plans and execute them effectively.
  • Focus purely on new logo acquisition, handing over accounts to account directors once secured.
  • Attend client meetings, industry events, and spend one day a week at the Leeds office (travel covered).
  • Must have: Proven track record selling consulting, professional services, or staff augmentation — please note our client cannot consider experience around solely product/software licence sales.
  • Experience winning six-figure service deals and engaging at CIO/CTO/CDO level.
  • Comfortable balancing tactical new business hunting with strategic planning.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and excited by the challenge of building out a sales function.
  • Based within reasonable travel distance of Leeds (Manchester, Chester, Midlands all fine).
