Job Title: CIO Package: £120k-£150k base + bonus 20-25% Bonus + Pension at 3% employers contribution + 25 days annual leave. Based: Remote / Hybrid (occasional travel to various business sites across London, Essex, Leeds, Manchester and Edinburgh) In 2024, our Private Equity client acquired a leading UK provider of industrial installation, maintenance, and refurbishment services to the critical environments in the power generation, energy from waste, nuclear and manufacturing sectors. Since the first acquisition, they have completed the further acquisitions of two planned maintenance companies, as part of the continued growth the group. The strategy is to grow organically and through M&A to build a leading group of industrial services and infrastructure maintenance providers that support critical assets, unlock the energy transition and deliver world-class service to customers. As a core member of the executive leadership team, the IT leader will be responsible for shaping and executing a technology, data, insights and cyber roadmap that supports strategy-setting, innovation, compliance, and operational excellence across our business. Responsible for creating and executing the IT strategy, aligned to the business strategy to deliver results with key responsibilities: Drive commercial insights using data as a key enabler in delivering the business strategy Balance hands-on technical problem-solving with strategic, commercial thinking Deliver best-in-class IT operations, overseeing third-party vendors across networking, Lead and develop a lean IT function spanning Support, Development, PMO, and Infrastructure Own vendor relationships, including license and contract management across Hosting and Cyber SOC Lead the charge on innovation, exploiting data, automation, AI and GenAI Experience in the field services sector of building and developing teams Demonstrated success in digital and data transformation in traditional environments, including Strong background in data strategy, including MDM and data governance Skilled in leveraging BI tools for actionable business insights Familiarity with modern cloud and data center platforms Hands-on experience with IT integration in M&A, including operational migration and implementation Solid understanding of information and cyber security principles Degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or a related field (preferred) Creative thinker with the ability to challenge norms and drive innovation
