We're looking for an experienced Product Manager to support a major UK government department on the delivery and evolution of critical citizen-facing digital services.

This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused Product Manager who can operate within a complex stakeholder environment, balancing user needs, business priorities and technical constraints to deliver high-value outcomes. The client is specifically seeking someone with a strong track record of driving delivery and product progress within government programmes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and manage the product roadmap, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives and user needs.
  • Work closely with delivery teams, business stakeholders and technical specialists to define and prioritise product requirements.
  • Translate complex business challenges into clear, actionable product backlogs and delivery plans.
  • Lead product discovery and continuous improvement activities to ensure services meet user and organisational needs.
  • Make informed prioritisation decisions based on evidence, user research, data and policy requirements.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple teams and levels of seniority.
  • Identify risks, dependencies and delivery challenges, escalating where appropriate.
  • Collaborate with agile, multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Support decision-making through the use of performance metrics, user feedback and service data.

We're Looking for Someone With:

  • Strong Product Management experience within complex digital or technology environments.
  • Experience working within UK Government departments or organisations.
  • A proven track record of delivering products and services within agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong experience managing product backlogs, prioritisation and roadmap development.
  • The ability to balance user needs, business goals and technical requirements.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary teams including delivery managers, business analysts, architects, developers and user researchers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
  • Previous experience working to GDS standards and frameworks would be highly advantageous.

If you're an experienced Product Manager with strong government delivery experience and a passion for improving public services, we'd love to hear from you.
