About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Agile Delivery Manager to lead the delivery of two high-profile, department-wide digital transformation programs. The successful candidate will manage projects from Discovery through to Live, ensuring successful delivery across quality, time and budget while working with a wide range of internal stakeholders and third-party suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys delivering complex digital programs within an Agile environment and has experience managing large-scale organisational change.
Projects
- Future of Communications (FOC): The Future of Communications program is transforming how communication and engagement tools are used across the organisation. Following extensive user research, the program is entering an exciting pilot phase, with multiple pilots running throughout 2026 to improve how colleagues receive and engage with key communications.
- New Intranet: Alongside FOC, you'll help deliver a major program to design and implement a new enterprise intranet, replacing the existing third-party platform. Both programs are closely aligned and play a critical role in modernising digital communications across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver complex digital projects from Discovery through to Live
- Manage project plans, milestones, budgets, risks, issues and dependencies
- Ensure delivery against agreed scope, quality, timescales and cost
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across multiple teams and suppliers
- Produce project reporting and governance updates for senior leadership
- Manage project change and ensure cross-project impacts are identified and mitigated
- Foster collaboration, ownership and a positive team culture
- Act as the primary point of contact for third-party suppliers
- Tailor communications to a wide range of technical and non-technical stakeholders
Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience delivering large-scale digital projects
- Strong background in Agile project delivery
- Experience managing projects through the full delivery lifecycle (Discovery through Live)
- Demonstrated experience leading delivery teams
- Excellent stakeholder management skills across multiple business areas
- Experience managing budgets, governance, reporting, risks and dependencies
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools and best practices
- Ability to develop realistic delivery, communication, quality and risk management plans
- Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
Desirable
- Experience delivering large, organisation-wide transformation programs
- Experience working with third-party suppliers
- Public sector or government digital delivery experience
- Familiarity with SFIA-aligned delivery environments
