Hybrid | London / Manchester | Active SC Clearance Required
We are looking for an experienced Test Engineer with a strong focus on test automation and data validation to support data and cloud transformation programmes.
You’ll design, develop and improve automated testing solutions, ensuring data quality, reliability and alignment with delivery objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement automated tests for data pipelines, ETL processes and cloud platforms
- Perform data validation to ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity
- Develop and maintain test automation using Python and pytest
- Work with BDD (Behave) and/or TDD approaches
- Create and manage test data for ETL and data warehouse validation
- Improve automation frameworks for efficiency and reusability
- Support shift-left testing, peer reviews, code reviews and CI/CD
- Work with AWS/Azure, Kafka and related data technologies
Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in test automation for data and ETL processes
- Strong SQL, Python and pytest experience
- Experience with data validation and large datasets
- Knowledge of ETL, data warehousing and PySpark or similar
- Experience with AWS and/or Azure
- Familiarity with Kafka or other event-driven/data streaming technologies
- Understanding of CI/CD, version control and modern development practices
- Experience contributing to test automation frameworks
- Active SC clearance is essential
Experience within government/regulated environments or large-scale data transformation programmes would be advantageous.
