I’m working with a consulting firm partnering with a major insurance organisation on a large‑scale Databricks delivery programme and they’re looking for an experienced Solution Architect. This is a hands‑on, delivery‑focused role where you’ll work on delivering real Databricks implementations rather than staying at a purely strategic level. The work is technically deep—designing solutions, writing production code (Python/Scala), debugging issues, and optimising Spark performance across cloud platforms.
Because the role is delivery‑focused, you’ll be involved in live environments as well as new builds—supporting complex use cases (ETL, streaming, AI/ML), handling escalations when needed, and helping teams adopt Databricks as a core data and AI platform.
Contract Details:
- 12‑month contract (strong extension potential)
- Up to £650/day
- On site in Central London – some flexibility after 6 months
Requirements:
- Experience building reference architectures and production solutions
- Experience with Python/Scala
- Experience working with Spark and cloud platforms
- Experience with CI/CD, MLOps, and live deployments
- Strong client‑facing and consulting skills
- Experience within the financial services industry is highly preferred
