Role Overview: My client is seeking an experienced Semantic Data Architect to support the design and delivery of a structured semantic framework for a complex data environment. The role focuses on translating technical and domain-specific information into clear, structured representations that can be understood and used by senior stakeholders. The successful candidate will work at the intersection of data, policy, and business understanding mapping entities, relationships, and rules into a coherent semantic model that supports decision-making and governance.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop semantic data models, including entities, attributes, relationships, and hierarchies
- Map policies, rules, and organisational concepts into structured semantic frameworks
- Translate complex technical and data concepts into clear explanations and visual models for senior management and non-technical stakeholders
- Work closely with business, data, and technical teams to capture requirements and ensure semantic consistency
- Support documentation, governance, and alignment of data definitions across the organisation
- Contribute to the evolution of enterprise data architecture and standards
Required Skills & Experience
- Proven experience as a Semantic Data Analyst, Data Architect, or Semantic Architect
- Strong understanding of semantic modelling, ontology development, or knowledge graphs
- Experience mapping entities, policies, and relationships into structured frameworks
- Ability to communicate complex data concepts clearly to senior stakeholders
- Experience working in government, defence, or regulated environments (desirable)
- Active SC clearance or eligibility
