TrueNorth are working with a global manufacturing organisation who are looking for an IT Operations / Applications Support Engineer to join the team (2nd line with exposure to some 3rd line).
You\’ll be primarily responsible for the ongoing troubleshooting, support and maintenance of IT and Technology applications in their main factory setting in Leyland, as well as being the conduit between IT and the business when it comes to strategic projects and upgrades.
It\’s a great opportunity for someone that wants to take an initial step into team leadership as you\’ll be working with 2x 1st line support engineers. The wider team also consists of infrastructure engineers that escalations can be made to.
Key skills and experience required:
- We don\’t need specific applications or operations experience as each application or system has a system owner that will support you.
- 3+ years of 2nd line troubleshooting and IT support
- Great communication
- Naturally inquisitive
- Exceptional problem solving
Beneficial but not essential:
- Experience of working in Tech / IT in a manufacturing setting previously
We have a starting salary of up to £40k for the role plus comprehensive benefits package. The role has excellent career progression potential as this organisation expands and innovates in their space.
Due to the nature of the role, we need someone that is happy to do 3 days per week on-site, but can be flexible in that should a critical system need your attention, you\’re able to come into the office.
