TrueNorth are exclusively partnered with an ambitious SaaS company in the RegTech/FinTech space to appoint their first Product Marketing Director. Backed by recent investment, the business is entering a significant scale-up phase and this role is pivotal to shaping its commercial trajectory.

This isn’t a "management-from-afar" leadership role – it’s a hands-on, builder-level opportunity to take charge of the company’s entire product marketing strategy. If you’re looking for full ownership, strategic influence, and the chance to make a visible commercial impact – this one’s for you.

The Role

This is a greenfield opportunity to build the function from scratch: define how the product is positioned in the market, overhaul messaging and external assets, align the GTM machine, and bring consistency across channels – all while helping the business tell a much clearer, punchier story about what it does.

The Product Marketing Director will:

  • Develop & own the end-to-end product marketing strategy: (Messaging, positioning, persona development, buyer journeys, product-market fit)
  • Overhaul external messaging: Right now, customers visit the website and still don’t know what the company does. You’ll fix that.
  • Drive go-to-market execution: Full lifecycle product launches, events, webinars, demo scripts, campaign input
  • Partner closely with Product, Sales, and Leadership: Influence roadmap, understand the feature set, and craft positioning around value and pain points
  • Build for scale: This is a player role now, but as the business grows, you’ll have scope to build and lead a team

What We’re Looking For

This role calls for someone entrepreneurial, commercially astute, and execution-led – someone who’s operated in early-stage environments and knows how to get stuff done without big budgets or huge teams. Additionally, you will have:

  • 7+ years’ experience in B2B product marketing, with 5+ in SaaS
  • Experience in RegTech, FinTech, or broader Financial Services SaaS and a track record in shaping early-stage brands and messaging in chaotic, high-growth companies (start-ups/scale-ups)
  • Proven ability to build the product marketing function from scratch (strategy, execution and beyond)
  • Strong storytelling and positioning ability – you’re a translator of features into outcomes
  • Experience working directly with Sales and Product teams
  • Happy working onsite in London 4 days/week

Bonus points for:

  • Understanding of complex, data-driven products (e.g. data reconciliation, compliance tools)
  • Experience running product marketing on a shoestring – you know how to prioritise what matters.

Why Join?

  • Own the function – Be the architect and executor of the product marketing strategy
  • True C-suite access – Work directly with the Chief Client Officer and the Founders
  • Impact from day one – Overhaul the external identity of a product with real industry value
  • Room to grow – Build the team and evolve the function as the company scales globally

If you’re a strategic product marketer who loves being in the trenches and wants to help a high-potential SaaS company grow upwards and beyond, we’d love to hear from you!
