Are you driven by data and motivated by impact? This role offers the opportunity to work on meaningful digital projects that improve public and private sector services. As a Digital Performance Analyst, you’ll work in multidisciplinary teams to turn data into insights and support service improvement through evidence-based decision making.

Role Summary

  • Work within agile product delivery teams to design and implement performance measurement frameworks that support service goals, user needs, and KPIs.
  • Select and apply the appropriate analysis techniques to derive actionable insights from large data sets.
  • Operate within legal, technical, and ethical guidelines, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Guide and support junior analysts, offering feedback and mentoring to promote capability growth.
  • Understand and adapt to the needs of different stages in the product lifecycle, using appropriate performance metrics accordingly.

Essential Experience

  • Use of digital analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Splunk, Datadog).
  • Experience working in a GDS-aligned environment within a government setting.
  • Development of service performance dashboards using tools such as Google Data Studio.
  • Designing and implementing performance frameworks with measurable KPIs or OKRs.
  • Strong analytical skills: identifying relevant data sources, validating results, and interpreting insights.
  • Data handling expertise: collection, collation, cleansing, and interpretation for insight generation.
  • Effective data storytelling: using the right formats and visuals to communicate actionable insights.
  • Formulating and testing hypotheses to inform continuous service improvement.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance (minimum 5 years UK residency).

Desirable Experience

  • Visualising data with Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Power Query or similar.
  • Experience with scripting or programming languages such as SQL, Python, R.
  • Awareness of security and data privacy best practices.
  • Recommending and influencing service or product changes based on analytical findings.
