We're looking for an experienced Content Designer to join a collaborative User Centred Design (UCD) team with in the public sector, helping to deliver accessible, user-focused digital services.
Location: Manchester, Newcastle, Blackpool, or Sheffield
Travel: Hybrid role. You'll need to be on-site for project requirements approximately 1β2 times per month, including in-person sprint meetings.
Security Clearance: SC eligible (or able to obtain SC clearance)
Rate: Up to Β£400 pd inside IR35
What we're looking for
You'll have substantial experience in:
- Creating accessible, plain English content that follows established content processes, patterns, and style guidelines.
- Using both quantitative and qualitative data to inform content decisions.
- Testing, explaining, and presenting content using a range of methods.
- Collaborating effectively within multidisciplinary Agile teams.
- Championing user-centred, evidence-based content design with stakeholders.
- Working within Agile delivery environments.
We're particularly interested in candidates who have experience:
- Using design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Lucid, Mural, Sketch, or similar for content layout and wireframing.
- Working on digital services, particularly within government or public sector environments.

This is an opportunity for a competent and experienced Content Designer to join an established User Centred Design team. You'll be supported by a permanent Senior Content Designer and work alongside other UCD specialists to deliver high-quality, user-focused digital services.
