SFIA 5 Agile Delivery Manager | £470pd | Leeds Hybrid | Government Programme

We're looking for an experienced SFIA 5 Agile Delivery Manager for a major Central Government digital transformation programme.

This is a great opportunity to lead delivery through the full GDS lifecycle — from Discovery > Alpha > Private Beta > Public Beta > Live.

The Role:

You will drive end-to-end delivery, build high-performing teams, and ensure the digital delivery plan is fully integrated with the wider project plan.

  • Manage delivery through all GDS phases and GDS assessments
  • Apply the most appropriate Agile and Lean tools & techniques — Scrum, Kanban, XP
  • Build, motivate and maintain delivery teams — ensuring collaboration and high performance
  • Responsible for integration of the Digital Delivery Plan with the wider Project Plan
  • Identify and remove obstacles to keep delivery on track
  • Keep the team focused on what is most important for product and service delivery
  • Encourage continuous improvement, coaching and mentoring team members
  • Actively participate in craft communities, sharing best practices and thought leadership

What we're looking for:

  • Proven experience as an Agile Delivery Manager at SFIA 5 level
  • Strong hands-on experience of GDS lifecycle and assessments
  • Expert in Agile & Lean delivery (Scrum, Kanban, XP)
  • Experience building and leading multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong stakeholder and dependency management
  • Government experience preferred

Contract Details:

  • Rate: £470pd inc fees
  • Clearance: BPSS required
  • Location: Monthly travel with overnight stay — 2 days face-to-face in Leeds (rest remote)
