About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Conveyancing Consultant to join our growing remote team. This opportunity is ideal for a qualified legal professional looking for greater flexibility, increased earning potential, and the opportunity to develop their own client base within an established consultancy framework.
You will manage residential and commercial property transactions from instruction through to completion, providing clear, practical legal advice and maintaining high standards of client care. With established systems, training, and ongoing support, we aim to provide an efficient and supportive environment in which you can grow your practice and achieve your professional ambitions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage residential and commercial conveyancing transactions from instruction to completion.
- Handle freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, new builds, transfers of equity, remortgages, and investment properties.
- Prepare, review, and draft contracts and related legal documentation.
- Liaise with clients, lenders, developers, estate agents, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legal, regulatory, and professional requirements.
- Where qualified and experienced, assist with Wills and estate planning.
- Manage workloads efficiently while maintaining excellent client service.
- Develop client relationships and contribute to the growth of your consultancy.
Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
- A relevant legal qualification, such as solicitor status, licensed conveyancer qualification, or equivalent.
- Experience in residential conveyancing and, ideally, commercial property transactions.
- Strong legal drafting, analytical, organisational, and communication skills.
- Experience with developer transactions and development finance (desirable).
- Confidence using legal case management systems and digital documentation.
- A commitment to professional ethics, confidentiality, and regulatory compliance.
- The ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and build strong client relationships.
Experience in Wills and estate planning would be an advantage.
What We Offer
- 60/40 fee split: 60% to the consultant and 40% to the firm, covering agreed consultancy costs and support.
- Remote working: Greater flexibility and control over your working day.
- Established infrastructure: Access to case management systems and professional indemnity arrangements.
- Training and support: Relevant training, including CQS courses subject to the firm's arrangements, alongside practical legal and business guidance.
- Business development: Support to build your client base and grow your consultancy.
- Improved work-life balance: A flexible working model designed to support your professional and personal goals.
