Trueline Products is a well-established, family-owned UK manufacturer with over 30 years’ experience delivering bespoke architectural and construction solutions. As a market leader in sheet metal fabrication and specialist manufacturing, we pride ourselves on innovation, quality, and a fast-paced, commercially focused approach.
Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our team and are open to hiring at both Junior Estimator and Senior Estimator level, depending on experience.
This is a key commercial role within the business, responsible for preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of bespoke manufacturing and construction projects. You will work closely with internal teams and customers to understand requirements, assess project feasibility, and ensure commercially sound pricing.
Key Responsibilities- Estimating & Costing
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities
- Prepare accurate cost estimates using internal systems
- Assess materials, labour, and production requirements
- Ensure estimates are competitive whilst maintaining profitability
- Commercial & Sales Awareness
- Apply commercial judgement to pricing and project viability
- Support business growth by contributing to successful bid outcomes
- Customer Liaison
- Liaise with new and existing customers to clarify requirements
- Follow up on quotations in a timely and professional manner
- Build strong working relationships to support repeat business
- Production & Technical Understanding
- Develop a strong understanding of manufacturing and production processes
- Interpret technical drawings and work closely with production teams
- Procurement & Supplier Liaison
- Engage with suppliers to obtain accurate and competitive pricing
- Ensure material costs are up to date

Essential / Key Skills- Strong numerical and analytical skills
- Good IT skills
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Confident in reading and interpreting engineering CAD drawings, or willing to develop this skill
- Commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Experience in an Estimator role (any level)
- Background in sheet metal fabrication, manufacturing, construction, or engineering
- Experience within sheet metal, fabrication, or similar industries
- Sales or commercial experience / customer-facing experience
- Understanding of production or manufacturing processes
