We’re looking for someone who can turn complexity into clarity. At true, we help organisations solve complex problems through thoughtful, well-executed digital products. As a Project Manager, you’ll play an important role in bringing together people, plans, and priorities to help make sure great work gets delivered clearly and confidently. This isn’t a “task tracker” role. It’s about taking responsibility, using good judgement, and helping maintain momentum, with support from senior project and delivery colleagues when the work becomes more complex.
Why this role exists? We’re growing, and with that comes more ambitious, more complex client work. We need someone who can:
- Bring structure without slowing things down
- Keep teams aligned and focused
- Ensure what we deliver is not just on time — but genuinely valuable
You’ll work across multiple clients, supporting delivery from scoping through to launch and beyond, acting as a clear day-to-day bridge between clients, delivery teams, and commercial priorities.
What you’ll be doing
Delivery & ownership
- Support the delivery of digital products such as new ecommerce web builds, composable, headless solutions or PIM implementation, working closely with senior project managers, technical leads and delivery teams where needed
- Manage ongoing retainers such as Product roadmaps, Optimisation and Maintenance or GEO Optimisation
- Manage scope, timelines, budgets, and resourcing
- Support strong commercial performance by tracking budgets, raising risks early, and understanding how delivery decisions affect project profitability
- Support scope and change control by spotting issues early, keeping documentation clear, and working with senior colleagues to protect delivery and commercial outcomes
- Keep everything moving — proactively solving issues before they become blockers
Client partnership
- Act as the primary day-to-day contact for clients on in-flight projects
- Build trust through clear communication, setting out expectations with regular updates and mitigating any surprises
- Translate client needs into actionable plans
Planning & structure
- Create and maintain project plans and delivery documentation, contributing to estimates, statements of work and delivery approaches with guidance from senior project and delivery leads
- Contribute to proposals and project documentation
- Break down complex work into clear, manageable phases
- Ensure the right people are working on the right things at the right time
Collaboration & execution
- Partner closely with Account Directors to ensure alignment between client needs, delivery approach, and commercial objectives
- Partner closely with Tech Leads to ensure technical approach, delivery planning, and project execution stay aligned
- Help project teams stay clear, organised and ready for client review, making sure work is understood, tracked and prepared before release
- Work closely with Experience, Engineering and Product teams
- Facilitate ceremonies, stand-ups, and check-ins
- Keep work aligned to brief, budget, and timeline
Continuous improvement
- Contribute to more consistent ways of working across teams
- Champion and evolve agency ways of working
- Identify ways to improve processes and delivery
- Share learnings across projects and teams
- Contribute ideas and learnings that help improve how we deliver as an agency
What success looks like
- Clients feel confident, informed, and well-supported
- Projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to a high standard
- Teams are aligned, focused, and motivated
- Risks are identified early and handled proactively
- Delivery consistently drives real client outcomes, not just outputs
What we’re looking for
Experience
- 2-3 years’ experience supporting or managing digital projects such as websites, platforms or products
- Experience of working with content management systems
- Agency or fast-paced delivery environment experience strongly preferred
Capability
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Comfortable tracking budgets, timelines, and scope, with the judgement to escalate risks and decisions at the right time
- Able to make informed decisions and escalate where needed
- Developing a good understanding of financial performance across the project lifecycle
- Confident stakeholder and client communicator
- Able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Approach
- Proactive and solutions-focused
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and change
- Strong attention to detail without losing sight of the bigger picture
- Commercially aware — understands impact, not just activity
You’ll thrive here if you…
- Enjoy bringing clarity to complex work
- Like working closely with both clients and delivery teams
- Are naturally organised but flexible when needed
- Take ownership and follow things through
- Care about delivering work that actually makes a difference
What you’ll get
Growth & development
- Real responsibility from day one, with support from experienced project and delivery colleagues
- A clear path to grow into senior project and delivery responsibilities over time
- Continuous learning through real project experience
Flexibility & ways of working
- Bristol based with a hybrid working model
- Core hours with flexibility around how you structure your day
Health wellbeing
- Private healthcare (including mental health support)
- Wellbeing initiatives and Active Teams programme
Financial & security
- Salary range of £37,000–£45,000, depending on experience
- Pension with employer contributions
- Life assurance cover
Culture & environment
- Regular team socials and events
- Monthly agency meetups
- Supportive, collaborative team culture
