£55,000£65,000 + benefits (flexibility for exceptional ER depth)
Hybrid: North West office roughly once a fortnight
UK-based
Permanent
You have spent years shaping employee relations inside a big organisation.
You have written the frameworks, run the consultations and taken the data to the people who make decisions.
Now picture doing that for several of the UK's best-known employers at once, and seeing more ER strategy in a year than most in-house leaders see in five.
Our client builds employee relations technology and services for large UK employers, including several household names.
It is growing fast, is private-equity backed and has a flat structure.
It needs an ER specialist who can move from running ER to helping other organisations get more from theirs.
What you'll actually do
Be the trusted partner to the HR leadership of about four large customers, each with 5,000+ employees.
You will know their world well enough to talk as a peer, not a supplier.
Show the value the client's platform and services deliver.
Build credible, defensible ROI cases on people outcomes such as absence, case volumes and time to resolution.
No inflated numbers.
Run structured reviews with senior HR stakeholders that change what the customer does next.
Spot where a customer could get more value, and build the business case to make it happen.
Feed what you learn straight into the product and services roadmap.
Customers are at the heart of this business, and so is this role.
This is for you if
You work at Head of ER, ER Lead or Senior ER Manager level (or equivalent) in an organisation with thousands of employees, where ER means programmes and policy, not just individual cases.
Your UK employment law and ER practice is current, and you hold CIPD Level 5 or above.
You can point to a time you spotted a problem, proposed a costed fix, delivered it and measured the result.
You are comfortable with data, and with situations that don't have a clean answer.
You have
deliberately
decided you want a commercial, customer-facing role where HR is the subject matter.
You are not simply looking for your next HR job.
This probably isn't for you if
Your ER experience is mostly individual casework, or it has been built in organisations of a few hundred people.
Your next goal is HR Director.
This role leads somewhere different.
Why people make this move
Breadth:
exposure to ER strategy across several major employers at once.
Influence:
a senior seat in a small business.
You shape what gets built, with direct access to the CEO and exec team.
Pace without politics:
you work with enterprise customers without the bureaucracy of an enterprise.
Progression:
a clear route into customer and commercial leadership.
The business's own leaders have made the same move from HR.
Benefits
include a health cash plan, company pension, a holiday purchase scheme, extra holiday with length of service, retail discounts, and reward and recognition.
The process
A confidential first conversation with True Worth (no CV needed), then an introductory call with the hiring manager, then an interview built around real ER and customer scenarios.
Online assessments are used for insight, not as a pass/fail.
All stages are on Teams.
