To lead and deliver a clear, consistent and engaging internal communications strategy that aligns colleagues to True Potential’s growth strategy, transformation agenda, and client-led culture.
The role is responsible for ensuring colleagues understand what we are doing, why it matters, and their role in delivering it, while improving engagement, supporting change adoption, and strengthening organisational performance.
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic Internal Communications
- Develop and deliver an internal communications strategy aligned to business priorities (growth, digital transformation, advice capability, client outcomes)
- Translate complex business initiatives into clear, meaningful colleague communications
- Partner with ExCo and senior stakeholders to shape narrative and messaging
- Ensure internal messaging reflects and reinforces the firm’s external positioning and investor narrative
2. Supporting Transformation & Change
- Lead communications across key transformation programmes (e.g. People transformation)
- Design and execute structured communication plans to support adoption and minimise resistance
- Ensure change is understood at colleague level, not just broadcast
- Manage internal messaging for senior leadership (CEO, ExCo, functional heads)
- Support development of leadership communications including town halls, business updates and key announcements
- Improve consistency and impact of leadership voice across the organisation
4. Colleague Engagement & Culture
- Drive colleague engagement through impactful, relevant communications
- Shape and deliver engagement initiatives aligned to colleague survey insights
- Reinforce True Potential values, culture, and performance expectations through storytelling and recognition
- Own internal communication channels (intranet, email, video, events)
- Ensure channels are effective, targeted and not over-saturated
- Improve content quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organisation
6. Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track success metrics (engagement, reach, understanding, behavioural impact)
- Use colleague feedback and data to continuously improve communications effectiveness
- Link communications activity to business outcomes where possible (engagement, retention, productivity)
7. Investor Narrative & Strategic Storytelling
- Translate the investor story into compelling internal messaging to align colleagues behind key priorities and performance drivers
- Work with senior stakeholders to ensure consistency between internal communications, external messaging and investor positioning
- Support key moments (e.g. results, milestones, strategic updates) with coordinated internal narrative
Key stakeholders
The role requires regular interaction with:
- Group Marketing Director
- Chief People Officer and People team
- Chief of Staff
- Exco and other senior leaders
- Marketing team
- External partners (where relevant to comms activity) e.g. PR agencies
- Programme and Change teams
This role will require in person office attendance 3 days per week as office presence will be important to keep close to the 'temperature' within the business.

Experience & Capability
- Proven experience in internal communications within a complex organisation (financial services preferred)
- Experience supporting large-scale change or transformation programmes
- Strong stakeholder management, particularly at senior/executive level
- Ability to simplify complex information into clear, engaging messaging
- Data-driven approach to measuring effectiveness and improving outcomes
- Experience in regulated environments (e.g. wealth, pensions, financial advice)
- Exposure to transformation programmes (CRM, automation, digital channels)
- Understanding of colleague engagement frameworks and survey utilisation
