Overview: Our client is a fast-growing food manufacturer with multiple sites. They work with retailers across the UK and are looking for a reactive Multi Skilled Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team of engineers in the Manchester area.
About You:
- Need to be multi-skilled and have experience in a reactive role previously.
- A good electrical background required with a proven track record working under pressure and the ability to read electrical drawings.
- PLC experience is required for this Multi-Skilled Engineer to be able to go online with equipment and diagnose control faults.
- Mechanical experience required to be able to replace bearings and strip down motors on conveying systems.
What will you be doing?
- Perform preventive maintenance on food processing machinery and equipment.
- The Multi-Skilled Engineer will conduct breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
- Diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical panels, sensors, PLCs, and control systems.
- Set up and test equipment to ensure it meets production and safety standards.
