A superb opportunity for an experienced Engineering Project Manager to take ownership of a major capital investment programme within a leading food manufacturing environment. This is a senior-level role where you’ll have the scope, budget and team to deliver real, long-lasting improvements across the factory.

About You:

  • Proven track record in delivering multiple high-value capex projects (£0.5M+), ideally within FMCG, food or pharmaceutical environments
  • Strong engineering background — ideally factory maintenance and projects
  • Excellent team leadership skills with the ability to develop and manage a high-performing project engineering team
  • Financially astute, with experience managing large capital budgets and business cases
  • Effective stakeholder manager — capable of working with senior internal and external partners across planning, operations, design and construction
  • Degree in Engineering or a relevant discipline and a recognised project management qualification (desirable)
  • Experience with chilled/frozen environments, ammonia refrigeration, or factory automation is a bonus

What will you be doing?

  • Leading the delivery of a £5M+ annual capital investment programme across the factory
  • Managing a diverse portfolio of engineering projects — from equipment upgrades to sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency improvements
  • Working closely with senior leadership to define strategic project priorities, allocate resources and report progress
  • Overseeing the full project lifecycle from scope and specification to installation, commissioning and handover
  • Driving continuous improvement, standardising processes and ensuring projects meet high standards of quality, safety and compliance
  • Supporting the team with personal development, career objectives and day-to-day problem solving
