TrueNorth are looking for a Business Analyst who can sit between the technical delivery teams and the senior Leadership to support a number of business critical projects. This role is HYBRID based in either Newcastle or Leeds offices and you will need to be within a 90-minute commute.
Business Analysts with big government sector experience and experience with GDS delivery will be highly desirable for this programme. Rate for this role is £ per day Inside IR35 and is an initial 3 month contract.
The right Business Analyst will be able to:
- Facilitate technical discussions to ensure the right design solutions are determined.
- Analyse complex business and technical processes considering any opportunities, benefits, and risks and apply lean thinking to optimise value.
- Map and validate requirements.
- Scope and detail requirements and associated user stories that meet the definition of ready and provide ongoing clarification throughout development and testing.
- Elicit stakeholder/user needs and identify constraints, ensuring these are managed to enable development.
- Ensure solution requirements are reflective of stakeholder/user needs.
- Support high quality evaluations of ideas and proof of concept/capability activity, including ideation, discovery, scoping, success factors, risks, assumptions, proposals and value realisation plans with appropriate metrics.
- Engage a wide range of stakeholders, primarily Product Managers, DevOps, software engineering, data engineering/science, architecture and security, to establish requirements and priorities.
- Assimilate technical/technology requirements quickly and challenge effectively while building and retaining strong working relationships in both one-to-one and group settings.
- Work closely with technical team members to ensure shared understanding of requirements for implementation.
This role is ideal for a TECHNICAL BA who enjoys sitting between the business and the engineering teams and is able to speak credibly across the workstreams from both a business and techie perspective.
Key Skills & Focus:
- Strong technical background - you do not need to be able to code but you must be able to understand digital domains, software development, QA/testing approaches.
- Ability to write technical user stories, enable tech platforms, and support behind-the-scenes engineering.
- Discovery and problem framing.
In this programme, Stakeholders are primarily lead engineers (not end-users).
