Location: Remote, Hybrid or Office-Based (Newcastle upon Tyne)

We’re recruiting for an experienced Network Consultant to join a growing technology business. This is a senior, hands-on position focused on network design, implementation, support, and customer consultancy across a range of networking technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver networking projects from design through to implementation and handover.
  • Provide 3rd Line support and act as an escalation point for complex network issues.
  • Manage and support on-premises and cloud-based network environments.
  • Monitor network performance, security, and availability.
  • Support Azure networking deployments and hybrid infrastructure projects.
  • Produce technical documentation and network diagrams.
  • Conduct customer network audits and provide technical recommendations.

Essential Experience Skills

  • Minimum 5 years’ commercial networking experience.
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, VPNs, WAN/LAN technologies, OSPF and BGP.
  • Experience delivering networking projects independently.
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
  • Cisco Experience Required:
    • Cisco SD-WAN
    • Cisco FMC
    • FTD
    • Cisco ASA
    • Cisco Meraki MX
