Know Your Tech Inside Out

Make sure you brush up on your Java or Scala skills before the interview. Be ready to discuss your experience with TDD, OO design, and how you've delivered complex services. They’ll want to see that you can not only code but also think critically about your solutions.

Showcase Your Consulting Skills

Prepare examples of how you've led user stories and shaped backlogs in previous roles. Highlight your ability to build trust with stakeholders and adapt quickly to changing requirements. This is key for a consulting role, so make it clear how you’ve excelled in these areas.

Emphasise Team Collaboration

Since they value Agile team players, be ready to talk about your experiences with pairing, mob programming, and mentoring. Share specific instances where you’ve helped your team level up or improved processes, as this will demonstrate your collaborative spirit.

Understand Their Values

Research the company’s approach to client relationships and their emphasis on judgement over just coding. Be prepared to discuss how you align with their philosophy of thinking and challenging, not just delivering code. This will show that you’re not just a fit for the role, but for their culture too.
