TrueNorth are working with a national organisation and household name who are looking for a QA focussed specifically around Data Engineering to join the team. The QA Data Engineer is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, reliability, and quality of data systems, pipelines, and analytics platforms. They design and implement automated testing frameworks, validate data transformations, and work closely with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to guarantee that data delivered to the business is trustworthy and fit for purpose.

Key responsibilities:

  • Data Quality Assurance Testing and Automation
  • Collaboration with Data Engineers
  • Documentation and governance

Key skills and experience needed:

  • Commercial experience of automation testing for Data Engineering
  • Testing tools like Great Expectations, dbt, pytest and data validation frameworks
  • Experience of testing data platforms such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks, Azure Synapse
  • Experience of testing pipelines in things like Airflow, Azure Data Factory, AWS Glue, Kafka
  • Data Concepts ETL/ELT, data modelling, data warehousing, data governance

The role is 100% remote, however you must be based in the UK with the right to work in the UK in place already - we are unable to sponsor for this position. We have a salary of £75,000 available on an 18 month fixed term contract.
