Contract | £370 per day | Inside IR35 | Hybrid | London / Manchester | Active SC Clearance Required

We are looking for an experiencedTest Engineer with a strong focus ontest automation and data validation to support data and cloud transformation programmes.

You’ll help design, develop and improve automated testing solutions, ensuring data quality, reliability and alignment with delivery objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement automated tests for data pipelines, ETL processes and cloud platforms
  • Perform data validation to ensure accuracy, completeness and integrity
  • Develop and maintain test automation usingPython and pytest
  • Work withBDD (Behave) and/or TDD approaches
  • Create and manage test data for ETL and data warehouse validation
  • Improve automation frameworks for efficiency and reusability
  • Support shift-left testing, peer reviews, code reviews and CI/CD processes
  • Work with cloud platforms includingAWS/Azure and technologies such asKafka

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience intest automation for data and ETL processes
  • Experience with data validation and large datasets
  • StrongSQL and relational database experience
  • Hands-onPython and pytest experience
  • Knowledge ofETL, data warehousing and PySpark or similar
  • Experience withAWS and/or Azure
  • Familiarity withKafka or other event-driven/data streaming technologies
  • Understanding of CI/CD, version control and modern development practices
  • Experience contributing to test automation frameworks
  • Active SC clearance is essential

Experience within government/regulated environments or large-scale data transformation programmes would be advantageous.
