This role is to join a well-established consultancy, specialising in mechanical, electrical building services design, with a focus on energy strategies and low carbon. Their projects include residential, health care, education, commercial and retail, they have a strong pipeline of projects and a high level of repeat business.
Responsibilities
- Overall, this role will involve maintaining good client relationships, overseeing and guiding more junior engineers and undertaking engineering designs.
- To manage design team and provide electrical engineering support to all electrical engineers.
- To carry out electrical design and project management of various types of projects.
- Undertaking fee assessments and providing fee bids for projects.
- Liaise with clients, providing excellent client care.
- Carry out surveys and produce reports.
- Carry out quality inspections of projects.
- Attend meetings on all aspects of the projects.
- Monitor financial aspects of projects.
Experience and Qualifications
- Qualified to at least HNC or Degree Level.
- 6 years’ experience of electrical design within building services working in a consultancy or a large contractor.
- Producing detailed specifications and calculations.
- Management of junior staff.
- Client Liaison.
- UK driving licence is essential.
