Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Building Services Design/MEP Circa £50k to £60k North London / Hybrid Consultancy / Building Services / MEP / Senior Electrical Design Engineer This role is to join a specialist building services design consultancy, projects include commercial, education, industrial, leisure, galleries and a range of overseas and public projects. They provide a full electrical design and supervision service from their North London offices. This employer offers an environment where you’ll always feel like an integral part of the team – trusted, depended on and treated as an individual from day one. Responsibilities The senior electrical design engineer’s role will be to carry out electrical designs and includes the following responsibilities. * Working as part of a design team delivering detail electrical designs on a wide variety of projects * Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems * Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, contractors and external project teams * Attending a range of project group and technical meetings * Carry out condition and feasibility surveys. * Provide project management and administration duties and to monitor design team. * Undertake fee assessments and providing fee bids for projects. * Liaise with clients and attend meetings on all aspects of the projects. * Carry out quality inspections of projects. * Oversee junior members of staff. Experience & Qualifications * A minimum of HNC in electrical design or building services * 5 years’ experience of building services design * Experience of producing detailed specifications and design calculations * Production of tender packages and tender analysis of returned tender packages. * Full UK driving licence
