This role is to join an independent sustainability and engineering consultancy who provide insight including specialist thermal modelling calculations to support the creation of sustainable building designs. They are currently recruiting for a graduate passionate about sustainability from a STEM or sustainability background to join their team. This role offers excellent progression as you will receive training and mentoring to support your learning and career development within sustainability.
Role and Responsibilities
- Sustainability strategies
- Auditing
- Building Regulations Part L assessments
- Energy modelling and assessment
- Dynamic modelling for thermal comfort assessments and overheating risk assessments
- Advising clients on how to reduce energy use through engineering design and specification
- Working with design teams including architects, structural engineers, quantity surveyors and specialist consultants
- Advising on building services aspects of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes
- Site visits to construction sites to inspect building services installations
- Advising on building-integrated renewable energy
Experience and Qualifications
- Educated to degree level in a STEM discipline – for example physics, maths, science, engineering, building services engineering, sustainability or environmental engineering.
- You must be interested in sustainability with the ability to understand technical concepts
- Keen to learn to become a fully fledged sustainability consultant
- Able to communicate clearly and professionally.
- Able to start immediately
- A full driving licence is desirable.
