Intermediate to Senior Electrical Design Engineer – Data Centres/MEP
Hybrid, North Kent
£45k - £65k dependent on experience

This role is to join an established building services design consultancy who cover a range of project types including education, heritage, offices, hospitals, local authority and data centres, although this position will be focused on data centres.
The culture is supportive and geared towards your ongoing development. The people you will be working alongside are a friendly, highly experienced professional team of engineers with collaboration at the centre of their culture.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in the full cycle of projects from client briefs and planning through to design, supervision and completion.
- Developing conceptual & detailed design solutions in line with client’s brief or working alongside senior engineers gaining experience.
- Carrying out the detailed electrical services design and calculations using HevaComp, Amtech, IES, Dialux and/or similar design software tools.
- Production/writing of electrical specifications, schedules, reports and technical papers.
- Representing the business alone or attending with a more senior engineer to develop your experience at a wide range of meetings from client, design team and site.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree / HND / HNC in Electrical Engineering, preferred although not essential.
- Design experience in electrical building design systems.
- Experience of datacentre design.
- Confident user of a range of software such as Amtech, Dialux or Relux.
- An enthusiasm for continued learning and development would be beneficial.
