This role is for a team playing senior or intermediate electrical design engineer, you will join the MEP team of an established SME design consultancy, working on a wide variety of challenging and interesting projects. Generally, project types include mixed use, commercial, luxury residential and hospitality.
This role is hybrid working, although you can attend the office daily if that’s your preference. Responsibilities- Detailed design drawings with a specialisation in electrical system design.
- Preparing specifications and schedules and design development reports.
- Taking projects through from inception to completion and handover.
- Undertaking survey work.
- Production of feasibility reports.
- Attend site progress meetings and review installations.
- Supporting junior staff.
- Maintaining good client relationships.
- Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams.
- Preferably a bachelor’s or master’s degree in building services or electrical engineering.
- Solid electrical design experience in the building services sector.
- Chartered or working towards chartership would be advantageous although not essential.
- Great interpersonal skills, a team player and a genuine interest in helping others.
