Project Manager / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer – Building Services / MEP Southampton Area, Hampshire – Hybrid Working (2 days from home) Β£50k – Β£60k DOE, benefits include pension, flexible working hours and cycle to work scheme senior mechanical design engineer / mep / building services design / consultancy / mechanical project manager This role is to join a highly professional friendly team of specialist design engineers. The culture of this consultancy is both supportive and collaborative, bringing together the very best elements of working for an established company, such as interesting projects of all scales yet maintaining a close-knit team Responsibilities This design focused role would suit a project manager with some building services mechanical design experience or a building services mechanical design engineer looking to move into more of a project management role. * Working as part of a design team delivering detailed design * Providing project management and mechanical design expertise * Liaising closely with other professionals, including structural engineers, architects, surveyors, and contractors of in-house and external project teams * Attending a range of project group and technical meetings * Ensuring that the design and maintenance of building systems meets legislative and health and safety requirements * Overseeing and supervising the installation of building systems and specifying maintenance and operating procedures * Using specialist computer-aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software and other resources to design the systems required for the project * Carrying out condition surveys and providing recommendation reports to clients Experience Required * Accredited Building Services degree or higher educational qualification (HNC/HND) in mechanical engineering. * Post education experience in Building Services or Mechanical engineering, experience with running projects including project management calculations, drawings, specifications, etc * Experience of industry standard software
