This role is to join a growing forward-thinking engineering consultancy which offers a family feel. You will be supported in a team environment and your career development will be encouraged via mentoring, training and opportunities for progression.
Most of the work will be MEP / building services design for NHS trusts (new build and upgrade projects) and commercial and residential projects. Projects are primarily located in the south of England, with most clients being in the south coast area. This employer benefits from a large pipeline of work and ongoing repeat business.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships.
- Work with the clients to establish the brief and follow the project through to the technical fulfilment.
- Input on fee preparations.
- Provide complete designs with an eye for detail.
- Manage medium/large sized projects dependent on experience.
- Oversee junior members of staff.
- Offer a friendly and supportive outlook to colleagues and clients.
Experience Required:
- A competent Building Services Design Engineer.
- Building Services Design/ Mechanical qualification to HNC/Degree level;
- Experience of designing mechanical building services.
- Experience should include calculations, drawings, specifications.
- Knowledge/experience of how designs will be installed would be beneficial.
- Hold a full UK driving license.
