An excellent opportunity based in London for an experienced electrical design engineer who is looking to develop their experience, knowledge and career, with one of the UK’s leading, award-winning MEP engineering practices; a practice that is owned by the people who work there and committed to leading the industry in tackling the challenges posed by the climate and biodiversity crises.
Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver electrical services on projects across a range of sectors with duties covering all aspects from RIBA stage 0 to 7
- Delivering innovative, sustainable solutions that really work and are beautifully integrated with the architecture and structure
- Build on your initial professional development, supplementing existing knowledge with new learning to deliver electrical designs on projects
- Carry out site monitoring
- Participate in client and design team meetings
- Contribute to the initial training and support of graduate engineers
- You will work under the guidance of Senior or Principal Engineers
Experience:
- A relevant degree qualification
- Working towards, and possibly ready to apply for, chartered status
- Experience working with digital design tools such as BlueBeam, Revit and ProDesign
- The ability to think creatively, applying a considered and rigorous approach to both design and delivery
- Experience through a graduate programme in electrical design working for a UK based MEP consultancy
- You will have a strong understanding of electrical engineering in buildings
- Will be self-motivated and capable of working well under pressure
- A strong desire to communicate and work collaboratively with others, both internally and externally, is essential
