Senior Electrical Design Engineer - MEP / Building Services Design

Location: West Oxfordshire - Hybrid & Flexible Working Options

This role is to join a national, modern consultancy, providing a wide range of services across the majority of industry sectors including commercial, health, education, defence, residential and community.

On joining you’ll be part of a friendly, collaborative group of building services design engineers, where you’ll feel like a trusted part of the team from day one.

The role will involve providing electrical engineering support to the practice by providing expertise in the field of electrical engineering in the built environment and to include design and project management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work as part of the Building Services team, reporting to and supported by the Associate team lead
  • Meet with clients to establish project brief and budget costs for client consideration
  • Project manage site works from commencement to completion
  • Carry out inspections of existing installations and submit condition reports
  • Develop Energy Strategies to adopt appropriate sustainable and low carbon mechanical design systems
  • Complete site visits, surveys, and witness system commissioning

Qualifications:

  • Degree/Master’s in Electrical Engineering
  • Experience of building services design
  • Chartered or planning to become chartered would be advantageous
  • Full driving licence
  • Must be a British passport holder for security reasons, due to the nature of some projects
