This role is to join an established building services design consultancy, where you will be focused on the design of data centre projects. The environment is supportive and geared towards your ongoing development, offering you exposure to interesting and highly technical work in the data centre sector. The people you will be working alongside are a friendly enthusiastic team of engineers with collaboration at the centre of their culture.
Responsibilities
- Involvement in the full cycle of projects from client briefs and planning, through to design and supervision and finally completion.
- Developing conceptual & detailed design solutions in line with client's brief.
- Carrying out the detailed mechanical services design and calculations.
- Production/writing of mechanical specifications, schedules, reports and technical papers.
- Depending on your experience level, you will represent the business alone or attend with a more senior engineer to develop your experience at a wide range of meetings from client, design team and site.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree / HND / HNC in Mechanical Engineering, preferred although not essential.
- Design experience in mechanical building systems.
- Some previous data centre / critical systems design experience is essential.
- Confident user of industry standard software.
