Director / Associate Mechanical Design Engineer Building Services Design / MEP Hampshire, M3 Corridor – Flexible Working £70k – £85k MEP / Building Services Design / Senior Mechanical Design Engineer / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer / Consultancy / Mechanical Associate / Partner This director / associate mechanical design engineer role is to join a growing and friendly established engineering consultancy. The culture of this business is to support, develop and work in a collaborative way to bring together the different experiences of their engineers to provide the best possible solution for clients. It’s a friendly and professional team with a mixture of experienced engineers and enthusiastic and conscientious juniors. Most of the work is design for commercial projects, care homes, NHS hospitals (new build and upgrades) and residential both houses and flats and it must be noted that all design work is done with a focus on sustainability. Responsibilities * Work with the clients to establish the brief and follow the project through to the technical fulfilment. * Attend project meetings with all parties including clients and design team members and contractors. * Maintain excellent relationships with clients and take opportunities to develop new clients. * Carry out condition surveys, feasibility studies, report writing etc. * Carry out detailed scheme designs. * Correspond with other design team members and the client. * Carry out calculations, both manual and by using computer-based systems. * Attend site progress meetings as and when required, together with monitoring Contractor’s. * Assist and support junior design staff. Experience Required * Building Services Degree, Mechanical Design Degree or other related higher educational qualification (HNC/HND) * Previous work within a building services design role in a consultancy environment at a level of senior mechanical design engineer or above. * Experience should include calculations, drawings, specifications. * Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit * Hold a full UK driving license To find out more about this mechanical design engineer role and the working environment and culture please get in touch
