True are partnering with a long-established heating and cooling specialist, trusted for decades to deliver high-quality refrigeration, air conditioning and HVAC solutions across education, healthcare, commercial and industrial environments. With a strong regional presence and a reputation built on long-term client relationships, they’re now looking to appoint a Contracts Manager based in or around Reading.

As Contracts Manager, you’ll take responsibility for managing the installation of refrigeration, air handling and air conditioning systems, acting as the main point of contact from initial order through to commissioning. This is a hands-on, varied role combining office-based coordination with regular site visits, ideal for a technically strong engineer either already in a contracts role or looking to step up into project/contract management.

You’ll work closely with in-house installation engineers and specialist subcontractors, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard, while maintaining excellent customer service throughout.

Contracts Manager Package:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project manage the installation of refrigeration, air conditioning, chillers and AHUs
  • Act as the main client contact from order through to commissioning
  • Plan works, coordinate engineers and subcontractors, and resolve site issues
  • Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards
  • Carry out site visits to support installation teams and manage delivery
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong technical background in refrigeration and air conditioning (essential)
  • Experience supervising or overseeing HVAC installations is advantageous but not essential
  • Engineers looking to step into a contracts / project management role are encouraged
  • Professional, approachable, and confident dealing with clients and subcontractors
  • Computer literate (Microsoft Office 365)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to attend sites
  • Based in or around Reading
