Trudy Darwin Communications is an award winning public relations and communications agency based in London, England. Our agency focus is on creating integrated PR campaigns that influence customers, shareholders and attract investors. TDC bespoke campaigns developed around the expertise of the C‑suite executive create a synergy often lacking between marketing and sales departments. We work alongside your current marketing departments or can be outsourced entirely. Our services are also offered as fractional services, to allow full integration and support to existing marketing investments. Our clients win awards year on year and attract targeted clients through our campaigns.

The New Business Specialist is a contract role responsible for driving new business opportunities and expanding TDC’s customer base. This hybrid position is based in London, England, with remote flexibility. Day-to-day tasks include supporting the Director and qualifying prospects, conducting discovery calls, and presenting TDC solutions to potential clients in technology, SaaS and startup industries. The role involves preparing proposals, supporting business planning activities, managing a sales pipeline, and collaborating with internal teams to align offerings with client needs. The New Business Specialist will also maintain accurate records in CRM tools, contribute to sales forecasts, and participate in meetings, events, or demonstrations as needed.

We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in new business development and B2B sales—someone who knows how to generate leads, manage a pipeline, and close deals in a technology-focused context. You'll bring proven expertise in sales planning and forecasting, with the ability to set targets and support strategic growth initiatives.

Beyond the numbers, we need a natural communicator and negotiator who can translate technical concepts into clear business language. You're comfortable working in a hybrid environment, managing your time effectively, and collaborating across teams via video conferencing and other tools.

Experience in technology sectors—whether that's networking, data centers, cloud, or software solutions—is highly beneficial and will help you hit the ground running. A Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related field is preferred, though equivalent practical experience is equally valued.
