Tructyre in Middlesbrough are looking for a Light Vehicle Mobile Tyre Fitter to join our customer-focused team and play a crucial part in delivering our core services across a large area, including routine tyre service at customer premises and emergency roadside breakdowns. This 40-hour per week position puts you at the front line, using our fully kitted, state-of-the-art VW service vehicle to perform exceptional customer service as well as upholding our vehicle safety standards and meeting the highest levels of customer satisfaction.
The Role: You will be tasked with fitting a full range of car, van, and 4×4 tyres. As a field-based expert, you will work directly at customer premises and complete tyre-related roadside breakdowns, which requires participation in the Stand-by Rota or a varying shift pattern.
Key Responsibilities as a Light Vehicle Mobile Tyre Fitter:
- Fit, repair, and replace all tyre types (cars, vans, 4×4s) to the highest technical standards.
- Provide rapid roadside and on-site service to quickly restore customer vehicles.
- Manage daily schedules digitally using tablet-based systems.
- Adhere to our Roadside Safety and Lone Working policies.
- Maintain accurate van stock and inventory.
- Ensure Outstanding Customer Care by giving honest advice and delivering seamless service.
- Work autonomously and make safe, informed, on-the-spot decisions.
Requirements for a Light Vehicle Mobile Tyre Fitter:
- Proven professional tyre-fitting experience.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Comfortable using electronic job management systems (e.g., tablets).
- Flexibility for varied shift patterns and participation in the call-out rota.
- IMI Level 2 Qualification would be an advantage.
- Current and valid REACT card is a bonus.
- Familiarity with the local working area is preferred.
