TruckEast Ltd. is an established Scania dealer and one of the UK’s largest commercial vehicle workshop operators, providing premium quality new and used vehicles. With 13 dealership locations across the eastern counties of England, TruckEast offers convenient, local access to comprehensive servicing, repairs, and maintenance. The company delivers specialist aftersales support for all types of heavy goods vehicles (HGVs), passenger, agricultural, and industrial vehicles. Representing the Scania brand, TruckEast is committed to maintaining the highest standards of quality and performance in both sales and aftersales services.

Salary: up to £33,000 per annum, depending upon experience

Working hours: Monday to Friday alternating by week between 8:00-17:00 and 9:00-18:00, with a 1-hour lunch break, and alternate Saturdays 8:00-12:00

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Service and Parts Advisor, based at our Corby branch. The Service and Parts Advisor will be responsible for the smooth daily operation of the Service/Parts Reception working within a strong team environment and delivering outstanding customer service to both internal and external customers by way of exceptional communication.

What are the responsibilities of the role?

  • Ensure a steady and realistic flow of available work through the workshop
  • Support and maintain customer’s service schedules, MOT and O Licence requirements
  • Provide basic advice and estimates to customers
  • Audit job cards (work orders) and associated service documentation for accuracy and adherence to internal and external procedures
  • Ensure service and inspection documentation are correctly completed, and customer defect procedures adhered to
  • Assist in maintaining a daily flow of quality job cards to Administration for costing/invoicing
  • Check and issue sublet order numbers to specialist / external agents and to arrange / plan such works as required
  • Pick and deliver correct parts to workshop on time
  • Work together with the workshop and other departments
  • Return warranty and service exchange units regularly
  • Receive and inspect all packages delivered, resolving any problems
  • Parts ordering
  • Deal with suppliers
  • Control stock in cost effective manner
  • Deal with customers/colleagues in professional manner
  • Provide cover at other branches as and when required
  • Any other duties relevant to the smooth and efficient operation of the department as determined by your manager
