As a Mobile Plant Fitter, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of heavy plant machinery across multiple sites. This is a field-based role, responding to breakdowns and carrying out planned maintenance to ensure maximum uptime across the fleet.
You’ll work on equipment including:
- ADTs
- Excavators
- Telehandlers
- Dozers
- Crushers, cone crushers, screeners and trommels
This role requires both mechanical and electrical fault-finding capability and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine servicing and preventative maintenance on heavy plant equipment.
- Diagnose and repair faults across diesel engines, hydraulic systems and electrical components.
- Attend breakdowns across the region and deliver efficient on-site repairs.
- Complete diagnostic testing to identify mechanical and electrical issues.
- Maintain accurate service records in line with company procedures.
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety standards.
What We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience working on construction plant, quarrying or recycling equipment.
- Strong mechanical and electrical diagnostic skills.
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Construction Plant Maintenance or Agricultural Plant Maintenance (essential).
- Full UK driving licence (required).
- Minimum 1 year’s experience servicing and repairing plant machinery.
You’ll be self-motivated, practical in your approach, and comfortable working independently across multiple sites.
