Key Responsibilities of an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on heavy goods vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using the latest diagnostic equipment
- Complete inspections and preventative maintenance
- Repair or replace components as required
- Ensure all work meets manufacturer and DVSA standards
- Complete workshop documentation accurately
- Support roadside assistance work when required
- Work safely and efficiently within a busy workshop environment
