Location: West Thurrock, Essex
Pay: £25.00 per hour (£55,250 per year) + Overtime at 1.5x (OTE £62,000+)
Hours: 42.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Alternating early and late shifts
- Week 1: Monday-Friday 06:00-15:00
- Week 2: Monday-Friday 14:00-23:00
- Additional: Alternate Saturdays 07:00-14:00 paid at 1.5x (when required)

The Role
As an HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician, you will:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using VCADS and manufacturer diagnostic equipment
- Complete MOT preparation, PMIs and inspections to DVSA standards
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled servicing
- Complete job cards and workshop documentation accurately
- Maintain high workshop productivity while delivering first-class workmanship
- Follow all health and safety procedures within the workshop
The Requirements
To be considered for this HGV Technician / HGV Mechanic / Truck Technician role, you will need:
- NVQ Level 2 or Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance
- Previous experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Commercial Vehicle Technician
- Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
