The Role:

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Hotel Cleaner / Housekeeper to support a well-established boutique hotel in Southbourne. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring guest rooms and communal areas are maintained to an exceptional standard, creating a welcoming and comfortable experience for every guest. Particular attention will be paid to bed presentation, room cleanliness, and the replenishment of guest amenities.

Key Responsibilities of the Hotel Cleaner / Housekeeper:

  • Clean and prepare guest bedrooms, bathrooms, corridors, and public areas to the highest standards.
  • Make and dress beds to an exceptional standard, ensuring a professional and luxurious presentation.
  • Replenish guest amenities, refreshments, toiletries, towels, and housekeeping supplies as required.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish surfaces throughout guest and communal areas.
  • Check rooms thoroughly to ensure they are guest-ready and meet hotel quality standards.
  • Remove waste, replace bin liners, and maintain cleanliness throughout the property.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly to management.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures at all times.
  • Work efficiently to ensure rooms are serviced within required timescales while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Requirements of the Hotel Cleaner / Housekeeper:

  • Previous cleaning or housekeeping experience within a hotel, hospitality, or similar environment preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and pride in maintaining high standards.
  • Experience making beds to a professional standard would be highly advantageous.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and hardworking with a positive attitude.
  • Excellent organisational skills and an eye for presentation.
