The Role
We are looking for a reliable and customer-focused Collection & Delivery Driver / HGV Driver / Class 1 Driver to join a busy commercial vehicle team in Reading. You will be responsible for the safe and timely collection and delivery of customer vehicles, while also supporting the wider workshop team when required. This is a great opportunity for an experienced driver looking for a Monday-to-Friday late shift with a daily shift allowance and overtime opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and deliver customer vehicles safely and on time
- Provide excellent customer service during vehicle collections and deliveries
- Complete vehicle handovers and relevant paperwork accurately
- Carry out road tests and brake tests when required
- Assist the workshop and yard team with vehicle movements
- Help maintain a clean, tidy and organised workshop and yard
- Ensure vehicles are handled safely and professionally at all times
- Support the wider team with general duties when required
Requirements
Essential:
- Full UK driving licence
- Valid Class 1 / Category C+E licence
- Previous professional driving experience
