Due to continued growth, our client is looking for several skilled Prep / Maintenance Technicians to join their busy workshop teams in Carlisle. The Role
As a Prep / Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for preparing new and Approved Used vehicles, carrying out routine maintenance, and ensuring every vehicle meets the highest safety and quality standards before being returned to customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out preparation work on new and Approved Used vehicles.
- Perform routine servicing and general maintenance on customer vehicles.
- Complete vehicle health checks and identify any areas requiring attention.
- Carry out technical repairs in line with manufacturer and company procedures.
- Ensure all vehicles meet required safety and quality standards before handover.
- Protect and maintain the cleanliness of customer vehicles during servicing and repairs.
- Accurately complete all relevant workshop documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment.
- Support the workshop team to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a Prep Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Vehicle Technician.
- NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair is desirable.
- Good mechanical and diagnostic skills.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
