What You Will Be Doing

  • Carrying out major and minor repairs on HGVs, trailers and commercial vehicles to DVSA and manufacturer standards.
  • Completing servicing, inspections and planned maintenance as an experienced HGV Mechanic.
  • Supporting breakdown repairs when required.
  • Maintaining accurate service records and documentation throughout.
  • Keeping the workshop safe, clean and well-organised at all times.

What You Will Need

  • Proven experience as an HGV Technician, HGV Mechanic or Truck Technician within a commercial vehicle environment.
  • Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Ability to identify worn or faulty components to DVSA standards.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Diagnostics and electrical experience (desirable).
