Location: Grantham, Lincolnshire
Salary: £20.50 per hour
Hours: Monday–Friday – Alternating shifts
Overtime: Every other Saturday paid at 1.5x

About the Role
Tru Talent is recruiting an experienced HGV Technician Supervisor to join our client's workshop team in Grantham.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HGV Technician with leadership experience to step into a supervisory role whilst remaining hands-on. You'll lead and support a team of technicians, ensuring HGVs and trailers are maintained safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
The Role of the HGV Technician Supervisor:
Supervise and support a team of HGV Technicians
Provide technical guidance and support to the team
Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and repairs on HGVs and trailers
Ensure work meets DVSA requirements, health & safety and quality standards
Assist with complex fault diagnosis and repairs
Monitor workshop productivity and job completion
Support technician development and act as a technical role model
Complete job cards, service records and relevant paperwork
Support day-to-day workshop operations and maintain high housekeeping standards
Requirements
Essential:
Level 3 qualification in HGV Vehicle Repair and Maintenance, NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI equivalent
Previous HGV Technician, Heavy Vehicle Technician or Workshop Supervisor experience
Strong experience maintaining and repairing HGVs and trailers
Previous leadership, supervisory or team-leading experience
Strong diagnostic and mechanical repair skills
Knowledge of DVSA standards
Full UK driving licence with relevant vehicle categories
Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail
